VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Volusia County man has taken a plea deal on charges that he imprisoned his ex-girlfriend and beat her. Jonathan Davis faced more prison time if convicted at trial. Instead, Davis took a deal that will send him to prison for seven years. The victim, Heather Kaye, told WESH 2 that she can live with that because until deputies found her, she wasn’t sure she would live at all.”That was his promise to me.
